About Soccer Without Borders Fundraiser

Hi Everyone!
This fundraiser is to raise money for Soccer Without Borders. 
I'm hosting a tournament on February 4th 2023 to raise funds.  Soccer Without Borders aims to use soccer to promote positive change : they provide underserved youth with the resources to overcome barriers in order to grow as players and people. 

I hope to raise awareness for SWB and the incredible work they do worldwide, whether it be addressing equity for young girls in Uganda or creating unity and purpose for recent immigrants to Colorado, SWB creates change through the common language of soccer.
Their approach is centered around meaningful relationships; they strengthen the social fabric of the teams, schools, and communities they are a part of by ensuring that each individual young person feels seen, valued, and supported.  They provide a safe, supportive, inclusive environment in which youth form strong connections with peers and supportive adults, where they are safe to be themselves and explore new ideas and competencies, and where their inherent potential is recognized.

One example of their incredible work is the Kampala Girls League in Uganda. The KGL was launched in order to advance gender equality on the soccer pitch. In Uganda, girls soccer is heavily underdeveloped and so the Kampala girls league was created to help girls with a passion for the game be able to safely grow their skill sets and connect with others through the love of soccer.
